There are now four separate versions of Door Fan 3.0 with support for the ATTMA standard, the EN13829 standard, the CSGB 149.10 standard and the ASTM E779-03 standard.

45 Day Limited Demonstration Version

All current releases of Door Fan 3.0 have a 45 day time limit. The software will stop working 45 days after its first use. A software license will be required to continue to use Door Fan 3.0 software after this period

Connecting a DM-2

To connect a DM2 to your computer, be sure to download the DM2 Device installer.

Installing on Windows VISTA

1. Download the installation program to a known location (we recommend you create a folder My Documents/Retrotec and save it there, along with your software license).
2. Right-click on the installation program and select Run As ... Administrator.
3. Acknowledge all of the prompts.
4. DO NOT launch Door Fan 3.0 from the installation program - if it launches, shut it down.
5. Right-Click on the desktop shortcut icon and choose Properties.
6. On the resulting Door Fan 3.0 Properties window, select the Shortcut tab.
7. Click the [Advanced...] button.
8. Select (check) the option to Run as Administrator.
9. Click Ok on all windows to close out the Properties window.
10. Door Fan 3.0 should now run correctly on Vista.

Upgrading to the Latest version of Door Fan 3.0

To upgrade your Door Fan 3.0 installation to the most recent version:

1. Print a hard-copy backup of your previous test results.
2. Download and run the latest version of Door Fan 3.0.
3. Door Fan 3.0 has now been upgraded.

Notes: If Door Fan 3.0 does not function as expected, proceed to the next section to perform a clean upgrade.

To perform a clean upgrade for Door Fan 3.0:
CAUTION! this will destroy all previous test data!

1. Print a hard-copy backup of your previous test results.
2. Click on Start->All Programs->Retrotec Programs->Door Fan 3.0 and then click on "Uninstall Door Fan 3.0".
3. Click "Yes" when asked if you want to delete the Door Fan 3.0 folder and database.
4. Download and install the latest version of Door Fan 3.0.
5. Door Fan 3.0 has now been upgraded.

Please note that while Retrotec endeavors to maintain backwards compatibility with future releases of Door Fan 3.0, we can not guarantee you will be able to successfully upgrade to newer versions without data loss. As such, we recommend printing a hardcopy of all previous tests for archiving purposes.

3300 Calibrated Fans

The self adhesive grill mask comes in easy to use, perforated rolls and is perfect for use in the field. The adhesive sticks firmly and is a effective air seal, but won't peel paint when removed.

Each roll of Grill Mask is 160 feet long and 12 inches wide. The roll is perforated every 12 inches.

Retrotec's DM-2, dual channel, digital gauge puts the operator in command of virtually every parameter of interest to the door-fan tester. DM-2 Functionality

Range/Config:	Cycles through flow ranges of the blower door or duct tester being used.
Setup:	permits changing default units, displayed outputs, devices and reference pressures
Baseline:	Measures and removes background pressures on Channel A for subsequent testing.
Time Avg:	Advanced box-car averaging displays continuous updates of the average pressure. No more waiting for your next average pressure measurement! Dramatically reduces the affect of wind and other pressure fluctuations.
Auto Zero:	On start up and every 8 seconds on both channels. May be turned off.
Device:	Selects the flow characteristics of virtually any blower door, Duc-tester or a pilot tube. @: Turns on/off extrapolation to configured pressures
Volume/Area:	Enter volume and/or area values to calculate air-change and flow/unit area results.

DM-2A Exclusive Functionality

The following DM-2A exclusive functions are compatible with Retrotec's 2200, 3200, 3300 or DU220 series fans only.

Set Speed:	Allows direct control of Fan speed from the DM-2 - no need to handheld speed control.
Set Flow:	Closed-loop PID control of Fan Flow Pressure - great for windy conditions.
Set Pressure:	Permits "set and forget" control of your fan. Dial in "Set 50Pa" and the fan will ramp up and hold 50Pa giving on the fly flow, ACH or leakage measurements. As you identify and seal leaks, the fan will automatically adjust itself for the tighter enclosure.

The USB Uplink allows the DM-2 Series Gauge to be connected to a computer for Data Acquisition, Automatic Control or remote data monitoring. Ask us about our software development kit for Excel or Visual Basic.

The rest of the register openings are taped shut. Duct pressure is measured by static probes in the supply ducts. Airflow is determined by reading flow directly from the DM-2. No computer is required. Setup, taping the registers and getting results takes less than 20 minutes in most homes. The Duc-Tester can also be used in conjunction with a blower door to neutralize duct leaks to indoors to that only duct leakage to outdoors is measured.

QMG Blower Door

A large and mid size building test kit. The lightweight, 3-fan, door panels can be carried under your arm, and set up in minutes in any doorway. Heavy duty commercial 2hp fans can run all day, at any speed, without over-heating. Ideal for TM23 testing UK standards up to 4,800 m2 floor area or for pressurizing large buildings for thermography. The Variable Frequency Drive generates the 3-phase power, but uses a regular single phase wall outlet power; either 110 or 240 Volts. The Retrotec dodel QMG door fan system consists of one DM-2A, one DM-2, three 3300 Fans and a hard plastic 3-fan door panel. Air Current Testers

Air Current Testers are often called smoke puffers, and are an essential tool for finding leaks in your enclosure. A Retrotec Air Current Tester creates about 1000 puffs of neutral buoyancy smoke, making it easy to track and see invisible air leaks in duct work and thermal envelopes.

Your Air Current Tester comes packed in an airtight storage tube with 2 spare nozzles and 1 spare rubber tip, and has an indefinite shelf life. The internal glass vial holds the 10 ml of TiCl₄ chemical indefinitely prior to charging. The tester can be charged merely by folding the tube. Which means no messy chemicals to pour.

One Air Current Tester

Consists of a 7.75" long by 1.3" diameter Teflon barrel with a 2.25" rubber extension tube, Teflon connecting tube, and T-nozzle.

One spare rubber extension tube and two spare T-cap-nozzles.

Carrying tube:

Each Air Current Tester comes in a 10.8" long ABS case x 1.9" diameter with airtight end caps, operating instruction and MSDS sheet.

Shipping

Due to the hazmat status of the Air Current Testers, there is an additional Hazmat handling fee of $20.00 as well as custom designed made Hazmat Drop tested box fee for each shipment. These fees are in addition to the actual shipping costs.

Retrotec can only ship air current testers to locations in the Continental United States and Canada. Shipments to other locations (including Hawaii and Alaska) will require special arrangements.
