Gauges : DM-2A, 3-Fan Splitter Box
The Retrotec DM-2A, 3-Fan Splitter allows a single DM-2A to control all three fans of a Retrotec Model QMG system simultaneously. The DM-2A control signal is split so that the speed of all three fans will increase and decrease together.
The Splitter can be used with 3 standard-power 2200 or 2300 fans or 3 high-power 3300 series fans.
The Splitter can only be used with a DM-2A. It MUST NOT be used with a remote speed control and cannot be used with a DM-2.
This Splitter will not function with older 900, 2100, 3100, or 3200 fans. Some older Retrotec 2200 series fans may not be compatible — please provide your Retrotec sales representative with your serial number by phone or email.

Detailed Connection Guide to Run 3 Fans
These steps describe how to use the DM-2A, 3-Fan Splitter to control your Retrotec Model QMG Blower Door
- Connect an Ethernet-style cable between a DM-2A’s Speed Control port and the DM-2A port on the splitter.
- Connect 3 Ethernet-style cables between the 3 “Speed Control” ports on the splitter and the 3 Fans.
- Connect a Red tube from this DM2-A’s red pressure port and run it through the 3-fan panel in order to measure Room/Building Pressure on Channel A.
- Connect a Yellow tube from the Yellow pressure port on the DM-2A to the Flow Pressure port on the 3300 Drive Unit or 2300 fan in order to measure the Flow Pressure for Fan #1.
- Connect Yellow tubes to the Red and Yellow ports on a 2nd DM-2A or DM-2 to the Flow Pressure ports on Fan #2 and Fan #3 respectively. Flow Pressure 2 and Flow Pressure 3 are displayed on Channels A and B of the 2nd gauge respectively.
- Use Retrotec E2001 or DoorFan3.0 or custom software to translate flow pressures into flows and for other results.
Note: the Advanced Calculation modes (Flow, ACH, EqLA, EfLA, etc) cannot be used on either gauge in this configuration.
