Duct Testing FAQ

When depressurizing the duct system, where do the range plates go, and how do I change them?
  • The range plates must always be installed on the inlet side of the fan. The range plates are designed to restrict the flow of air, so that the fan can operate at a higher speeds without blowing an excessive amount of air. When depressurizing, this means you'll need to remove the flex duct before adjusting the range plates. And don't forget to change the set range on the DM-2 when you change the range on the fan!
